Wildlife and Environment

From birds to mammals to fish, we are lucky to see a huge range of wildlife at Inveroran.   This year feathered visitors have included woodpeckers and barn owls, as well as the usual complement of siskins, chaffinches, wagtails and swallows.  Red deer are almost always present and Roe deer can usually be found in the woods.  Other local sightings this year include otters and pine marterns.

There are also many plants and insects in the hill and woodland, and water environments which surround Inveroran.  We particularly recommend visiting in the autumn when the noise of the deer rutting echoes round the loch.
